Join AFNHA AmeriCorps in the upcoming ‘24-’25 Program year!
AFNHA AmeriCorps members provide a term of National Service, allowing an individual to benefit local communities & landscapes while gaining professional experience & strengthening skills.
In the upcoming program year starting in September, 2024 Full Time (1700 hours), 1 year term AmeriCorps members receive a $21,000 living stipend, a $7,395 education award upon completion, and may be eligible for a WV Public Higher Education Tuition Waiver. Part time positions may be available at pro-rated levels of benefits.
Depending on length of service term and position, a Public Lands Preferred Employment Status may be available through the US Forest Service or US Fish and Wildlife Agencies for eligible Members!
To apply 2 steps required:
Sign up in our AmeriCorps 24-25 portal to create your profile and begin your journey. Link HERE
Go online to nationalservice.gov to create your Federal application for AmeriCorps and submit it to AFNHA AmeriCorps. Instructions are HERE. This step must be completed before being accepted to the program, but may wait until after you have begun the application process in step 1.
